Describe a phase in life that was difficult to say goodbye to.
Moving out of the family home was difficult to me. It was moving to my house, a different neighborhood, but leaving my parents was the hardest moment of my life.
Everyone is waiting for their own desired and dream place and the beginning of a new life, away from their family and seemingly from the control of parents. If parents control us, they’re doing it for our good to protect us from unpleasant surprises. It would seem that living at your expense we can do what we dreamed about, but the enormous responsibility for ourselves does not allow us to wander around in pub bars and restaurants and even quit our studies or work.
The longing for home and my parents did not allow me to function well. Every day for about 3 months, I had to go to my parents’ house for at least 10 minutes. Over time, daily visits to the family home turned into several times a week, and that was enough.
It was not easy to break the bond that connected me with my parents. It is not easy and now when I don’t have this bond.
We can get used to anything, and that doesn’t mean we stop loving.
